Finding the Right Bracelet

A well-fitted bracelet moves with the wrist without slipping over the hand. Chains, tennis bracelets and flexible designs are sized by wrist measurement, with a little room added for comfort.

01

How to Measure Your Wrist

Step 01

Wrap a soft tape measure around the wrist, just above the wrist bone. This is where a bracelet usually rests.

If you do not have a tape measure, use a strip of paper or string, mark where it meets, then lay it flat against a ruler.

Step 02

Keep it snug against the skin, without pulling tight. Note the measurement in centimetres. This is your wrist size.

Step 03

Add the allowance for the fit you prefer, shown below, and compare the result with the bracelet size chart.

Before You Choose Your Size

Things to Consider

Tennis bracelets

A closer fit keeps the stones facing upwards and protects them from knocks.

Wider designs

A broad or chunky bracelet takes up more room on the wrist. Add a little more allowance.

Charms and drops

Pieces that hang from the bracelet need room to move. A relaxed fit suits them.

Stacking

Several bracelets together feel snugger than one. Allow a little extra if you plan to layer.
